  It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

  i just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.

  although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .

  the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.

  Was this an announcement read to other congregations? I would be more inclined to beleive it if others on this board reported the exact same to their SM this week.

  Solomon: I am with you on that one. Just wait for the urban legends to emerge from NJ/NY congos to show up in 2013 DC's. Meanwhile Satan's organizations are opening up churches and public buildings for people who have incurred significant property damage regardless of their religious affiliation, encouraging people to reach out in tangible ways, open up locations for food, clothing and financial assistance,making routine calls and not just wishing people keep warm and weel fed. It seems that at times like these Satan's system shows up the dubs for what they are (in a large part) shallow, uncaring and selfish. It is at times like this that the WTB&T$ make me sick as the gloat with some image of this all being a precursor to the big one. Having that poor view of humanity simply leads one to become calloused and uncaring.

  What about using a portion of the $162 million in assets towards helping their negihbours? As I recall there were only two laws given by Jesus - (1) Love God and (2) Love your Neighbour.

  Here in Canada I am amazed and heart warmed by the simple acts lof love of neighbour demonstrated by people supposedly doomed at the end of this so called system. Examples like the blind woman on Staten Island making meals and distributing them, while her seeing eye dog guides her past very trecherous conditions. Yeah, I am sure God is looking down saying: "thats all well and good but you did not take the latest braille copy of the Awake you were offered last week, so I don't care what you did".

  i overheard some sisters talking and was astonished to hear them complain (gasp!

  ) about the watchtower inc. !.

  they were from nyc and were learning some asian language to help support a foreign language congregation.

  Based on a bit of an analysis while I was still in I would hazard a guess that there is is 30% basically numb and on autopilot (nothing would faze them); another 30% that complain but put up with things because their family is in and 40% that are inwardly questioning and starting to otwardly manifest physical traits of opposition that won't get them into trouble as a percieved apostate.

  I agree with this - one of the reasons I left - spend more time with my wife. We do a lot more fun things now than service, meetings, study, service, bibel studies, elder meetings, phone calls from emotional amoebas, service......

  on october 7, 2012, we received the following comment and inquiries:.

  today there is a new post [on another website] commenting on the "new light" of the governing body about the identity of the "faithful discreet slave.

  " i think this "new light" from the governing body is intended to weaken the new stand of witnesses who are partaking in the emblems.
